Talulah made quite the colourful impact on Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia, dazzling on the runway with impressionistic prints and embellished clutches. From black and white to a rainbow of colours the new Spring Summer 2013 / 2014 collection was fun, easy to wear and feminine. Debuting their first swimwear collection, this easy going and resort feel was strong throughout their designs. Hallmarking asymmetric paneling, spliced hemlines, curved edges, racer and flowing silhouettes - Talulah has perfectly captured what Australian summer fashion is all about...the waves, easy-going style, cocktails by the beach and flirty fun under the sun.

HOW TO DO THE MAKE-UP AT TALULAH S/S 2013/14
Give me a bronze or taupe smokey eye over black any day. Less 'party girl, out for a big night on the town', more 'softly (and subtly) seductive'.
The brief for Talulah's make-up look was "glowing, bronzed, healthy Australian girls". AMEN!
If you want to look like Montana, Rachel Rutt and Nicole Pollard on the runway at their MBFWA show last week – so do I, and we're only human.
The truth is that many things (including this make-up look I tried from Gucci A/W 2013 and Rodarte's high-cut bodysuits worn with low-slung pants) look better on the runway, but Talulah's bonzed, glowly make-up look is something that even us mere mortals can pull off.
Here, make-up artist Liz Kelsh – who has worked with the likes of Cate Blanchett, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Bosworth (to name a few) – shows us how.
The steps
1. Brighten the eye area by applying an eye cream. Liz used SK-II Signs Eye Mask on me.
2. Lay the foundations: Liz conditioned my skin by gently pressing SK-II Facial Treatment Essence onto my face, followed by SK-II Cellumination Deep Surge Ex Moisturiser.
3. Apply Max Factor Colour Precision Eyeshadow in Coffee to the entire eyelid, followed by Earth Spirits Eyeshadow in Burnt Bark.
Tip: wet brush with a small amount of sparkling water and dab on the socket to intensify the colour.
4. Apply foundation with a brush, beginning at the nose and blending outwards. Liz used Facefinity All Day Flawless 3-in-1 Foundation. Use a pearlised shadow or highlighter on the bridge of the nose and cheek bones to create a luminous finish.
5. Add a soft rose coloured blush to the apples of the cheeks.
6. Generously coat lashes with mascara starting with the bottom lash line first.
7. Add colour to the lips by lining them with Colour Elixir Giant Pen Stick (coming soon) in Hot Chocolate, then filling in the centre with a slightly lighter shade (Couture Blush) to make lips appear fuller.
Tip: pressing SK-II's Facial Treatment Essence into skin once finished will make your skin glow!

My picks are any (or all) of the monochrome looks, the multicolour printed blouse and shorts combo and, of course, THE SHOES.
Stay tuned for model polaroids & interviews, and a tutorial for that stunning, glowy makeup look!
THE CHRONICLES OF HER.: BACKSTAGE PASS: TALULAH S/S 2013/14 AT MBFWA.: Today I had the pleasure of hanging backstage before the Talulah show to capture all of the action! Of course it was amazing, with all of my favourite Aussie models walking for them - including Nicole Pollard, Montana Cox, Rachel Rutt and Ollie Henderson.
